a wednesday ..on a saturday…

Filed under: matter of realisation — coolexpressions @ 11:36 pm

After a long time, I am back to writing blogs and ofcourse resuming it with a good feeling..this is all about a movie which is one of the best movies ever made on a serious note….

I watched this “A wednesday” today after a lot of expectations raised by aravind and my cousin from UK who watched it on the very first day of release……a perfectly portrayed idea of a realworld cause..I am not going to explain anything about the plot as I want everyone to feel that by watching it by themselves

…..you never feel like you were watching a movie but you would feel that you are part of what’s happening on the screen…I was totally impressed with and moved by the movie..thanks to the director who really made a movie with out a heroine and a song…he made it very clear of what he wanted to show…clearly the script was everything added by the brilliant performance by naserudhin shah and anupam….movie was very straight forward and serious in every aspect and director had good number of unexpected twists in the plot…I liked the conversation between anupam and nasseer towards the end…I felt as if he was questioning the public instead of acting…especially the phrase..”stupid common man” moved every one in the theatre…and every one started clapping as if they were in a public discussion forum and were impressed with the orator…really, these veteran actors made a difference…anupam who played the character of a brave police commisioner and nasseer as an unnamed common man…

the plot of the movie is just one of the problems that India is facing oflate fighting against terrorism…I am not sure if we are actually fighting or just getting used to the problem…the problem lies in lack of commonness as far as the problem is concerned…I meant everytime whoever gets affected because of a blast or any act of terrorism would be thinking of the problem and the others give it a thought and slowly forget about as it didnt come till them yet…all we need is a common problem just like the problem we had during British rule and then only we start fighting against that problem with united minds and thoughts..

finally, this thought provoking movie is one of my best ever movies as I always prefer movies to be like this to show people about the current hapenings in the society and make people think as this is a powerful media which gets into people’s minds very faster than any other thing…so go watch it if you haven’t already watched it to have a similar feeling…feeling of  ”responsibility” towards the social happenings…

A blog a day…

Filed under: matter of realisation — coolexpressions @ 11:59 pm

…really! this has become one of my favourite ways to come out of worked up mind…we can easily get over that whole day work pressure..etc etc…

I did not know the importance or effect of it until my guru started writing one and I have been enjoying her blogs since 1 year..it always pays if you share your thoughts with some one…but not always you can do that with a person tete-a-tete(not that I am so) ..so blogging helps for those who are little introvert and for some contexts where you are not comfortable to express your thought freely…so when it comes to internet..you can feel that you are giving a big lecture about something to the whole world…thanks to the first blogger who has shown the world how important is communication..

so I end this small blog about blog saying…a blog a day keeps doctor at bay..express yourself freely ..that increases your lifetime ..it”s just a modern mantra for all those hardworking guys!

My first second show movie…

Filed under: gone are those days — coolexpressions @ 11:35 pm

those were the days I was going through a lot of struggle to achive something I did not know why I was doing for…the jolly and ever remembered INTERMEDIATE days at Vikas college rajahmundry…and my struggle was to getover EAMCET, ever popular competitive test in Andhra..

it was in second half of 1st year Inter that my parents let me go out of house in the evening..the only reason was STUDY HOURS after regular college hours…as usual I got influenced by aravind as he convinced that we do well if we stay back in college and do some extra effort to get good scores…sorry now the fact is to know more about life…

I started coming back to college in the evening as it’s totally new to me to stay back or come out of house after those regular hours..I used to go to aravind house ..catch him up and go to college…soon I started stopping at his house..this shows our progress/improvement..i.e., individuality….slowly I started staying back over the night at his house during exams …slowly….I started making it a routine to go to his house daily in the name of studying…sincerely we start reading for sometime and somehow either aravind or me takes a break and that’s it we start discussing about all the things except studies…it used to be lot of fun …as we used to paint..even aravind is a good artist…we used t share a lot of pictures…views etc etc..

one day…the all time super hit english movie, TITANIC, released in rjy..that aroused our interest to watch the movie at any cost…my father got me a super Luna(about which I will tell u soon)..we planned to watch that movie but only possible time was second show …that’s it we cooked a small story..the surprise test the next day…I called home and told them that I was going to stay back at aravind’s house to prepare for one of the toughest exams..combined study…we started early after dinner…we watched the much exciting movie and aravind was completely into the movie..I could not because I always used to fear about some known person sees me and informs dad…that’s the reason for tension as my father used to tell us that he has spies around the town and some how he would come to know about anything that happens around us…

those days we used to hum those background tracks..such was the craze…i feel a bit silly when I think about it now…finally, we were coming back from the movie after a nice excitement as it’s my first second show movie I had been to without my parents..that day though because of aravind I came out I felt like I won something on my own…some kind of excitement…that’s the start of my movie freak which is continuing like anything as we never used to go to theatres frequently before that…

I should tell you the final thing about this…the impact… was huge on aravind that he started drawing the so called titanic pictures after he influenced by Jack dawson’s art…and caught red handed by his mom…he slept leaving the art free to air after drawing…and him mom saw that thru window and ripped it off.. the next day I got a complaint that this guy was getting influenced by bad thoughts…hehehehehe..as if I was a nice guy..!!

Dream…I am at its best

Filed under: That's the way it is — coolexpressions @ 10:55 pm

This is not about my aim or a dream for future..it’s about my ‘real’ dream I get when I sleep after going thru a kinda ‘unknown’ involvement…

I always get dreams..I hardly sleep with out dreams.. I am a virgo and virgos are the best dreamers in this world ..apt for me…yeah..I coming to my point..wait wait…

I will tell some of my dreams .. one day I dreamt of playing a cricket match with none other than Ratan Tata..he was in my opposite team…that day I was totally involved in T20 final match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Kings..after along time I was a bit tensed about the result..the end result..a match in my dream…the next day I didnt know the reason but His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam told me a nice poem …as every good dream that won’t last long..I could not remember the whole poem but the essence was ..your words are your weapons ..with knowledge you can tranform the world and fight against anything..that was my lesson from him..hahahaha..but seriously I could feel the impact of that dream even now… I always used to tell aravind and gunnu about my dreams..as usual they laugh..what to do..

sometime back..I got a dream in which I was discussing seriously about the future of IT and various problems that we have in our country with none other than Mr. Narayana Murthy of Infosys..I always admire him as a dynamic gentleman who always wanted our country to be at it’s best in services industry and infrastructure through which India becomes one of the best economies in the world…also he believes in practicality, the numbers,  when it comes to people talking about rapid growth of every sector in India..he asks boldy those who claims India shining..to show based on what they claim so..I really like those dreams as in realworld that never happens that meeting with Mr. Murthy and having a poem from ever admired and loved Kalam..

I dont understand where these dreams come from as I donot completely involve in anything knowingly..may be my unconscious mind stores it somehow…sometimes I see lot of movies also which in realwold I would not have seen or the story will be completely different but the actors would be same…

so if any one knows why do I get such dreams let me know…and take me out of that dreamworld..

Memoirs of eating..

Filed under: Food for life — coolexpressions @ 11:56 pm

I am a big fan of eaters and eatables….now my choice is only VEG…I stopped eating non-veg after a marathon…i started eating non-veg in the first year of my Btech at my friends bachelor accomodation. It was a chicken biryani parcel from famous ‘Pandala Paaka biryani center’ at rajahmundry…one of my friends satti gadu was also a veggie but used to have non-veg…so he was my inspiration…after we finished eating he gave a comment saying..’ela tintaarra babu..savalni tinnattu anipisthundhi’ by that time he said that he had completed everything and not even bones were left…then I was on full form to have non-veg items..I tasted chicken, prawn, fish and out of which I liked prawn(that I ate at subbalaxmi aunty’s house) the best, then fish..again at the same place..she gave me a compliment also as I was removing the fish bones carefully..followed by chicken..only fry items like tandoori, minglets etc etc..

when it comes to breakfast..remember here I talk about something to break the fast..those were my college days..it was my hometown where we studied Btech..after attending first period our eyes used to search for canteen to break the fast..srikanth and I used to go to canteen although others used to be there..we were the standard batsmen..the owner and ‘master’ of the canteen used to remember us to serve our fav tiffins…we used to start with idly..then puri(it used to be too good at my home town)..then a single dosa..hot mysore bonda..finally a nicely roasted pesarattu…he used to be a well known cook for pesarattu….he put extra stuff for us..and a nice coffee..this used to be our daily break fast..here the fact is..I used to have breakfast at home before going to college..heheheheh…and the saga continues…..

Gamyam…small step to start with..no matter how small it may be…

Filed under: Gamyam — coolexpressions @ 11:31 pm

Recently I visited Apna Ghar, a home for kids on one of the weekends to know (as I did not go anywhere before) how it will be and to present them with some sports items as requested by one of my friends. I wont say that I had a blah blah blah.. experience being with them but I came to know how the kids lead their lives being in such an orphanage. I think I have to visit all such places in Hyd to know more about their attitude and spirit of life and in that process I learn alot having everything in life but would complain about something or the other.

We went there in the morning and I got introduced to the kids. There were a group of senior citizens who visited at the same time to extend their part of help/mite. The chief of the Ghar made the students recite some of the slokas of their routine. They distributed some sweets, fruits (even to us). While the students were reciting slokas, we brought some of the sports items which we thought would be useful for them and everyone started staring at us as this would definitely attract their attention. One of the ladies of the senior group found to be very sensible(not that the others are not) but we thought so because she got ball pens while others brought things to eat and while others were specific about the discipline she was smoothly trying to convince them. Finally, we got our turn to spend sometime with the kids. We gave them what they wanted and it was like a piece of jaggery surrounded by flies.

Then the chief started telling us to instruct kids not to play all the day while neglecting household works and studies. So we convinced her that there would be timings beyond which they cannot play and the in-charge takes care of the items.

We tried to get the kids sit quietly before we decide who plays with what…we tried to know what they know basically like writing their own names in English/Telugu and during the time we made them write all their names we had some fun. We finally divided the items between girls and boys so that there wont be any clash(atleast on that day..because it’s usual that there wont be a 100% understanding between them distributing..as even we dont do that with our friends/siblings)…

One of the kids, Saidulu has vitalego – due to which the whole body becomes pink and the hair turns into white. It also effects eye sight. He is doing his SSC now. We should get him to a nice doctor and get spects for him that would be helpful for him to read books.

We started taking their names on a piece of paper and then the fun started. Everyone cracked jokes one everyone and a few students found to be sharper than normal International school going students. We wanted them to atleast spell their names as it’s a basic thing to know how to write their names in whatever language. We tried to get them write in English. One of the kids is the so called English teacher as he knows how to write few words in english(atleast based on their pronunciation he could frame words). We were surprised by the way they build words.. an incident to quote..a cute kid, Renuka 3rd standard kid, was trying to write her name in English. Based on the sound(phoenetics), we started with ‘Re’ so start with ‘R’..she wrote 6 as R is 6 in telugu…then ‘e’..everyone came up with their words.. e se ‘ek’ as in Hindi..edu..7 in telugu..but they liked ‘ek’ i.e., 1 in maths..so ‘Re’ became ‘61′ so far..then ‘nuka’ is left…so now..how to write ‘nu’..na sey ‘nikkar’ in telugu..so it became short…ka – koti in telugu…i.e., crore..so finally Renuka became ’61shortcrore’…now think abt it…do we need to teach them what’s encryption is…this is just an example…so wisdom comes naturally to all even though they dont have any knowledge…and anything as a team would be fun to do and ‘create’…here they are trying to create something out of nothing by collectively framing a word and she learnt the word finally which is the best part..she wrote it down proudly on her notebook where her name was written in telugu..now she knows English…

Most importantly out of all these conversations with them we thought they are commonly lacking basics like english alphabets(not all but some of them), multiplication tables. For that even the chief is thinking about arranging a tution teacher. Apart from these, next time when we go to that place we thought we would get them some abacus kind of things so that they easily remember multiplication tables and charts that show alphabets with some words like vegetables, places etc

With this I complete my first blog..even though the above info is like a brief summary..it meant more as we cannot express everything in words…more importantly..next time onwards i would prefer to inform everyone only if I could make a difference in atleast one kid’s life because I believe that this is not a great thing but a minimum thing that any one can do in their lifetime. Hope everyone understands my point.
